2012 ACG MBA Cup Competition
February 7 | Hosted by BDO.

About theACG Cup: The Premier MBA Competition
A record-setting 1,636 MBA students from 125 business schools participated in ACG Cup competitions over the course of the 2010-2011 academic year. The ACG Cup is an M&A case-study competition offered by the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG). $213,850 in scholarships and awards were given to competition winners by 26 ACG chapters throughout the United States

Each case study provides students with a unique opportunity to present valuation, capital markets and M&A strategic advice to a panel of seasoned M&A professionals from within the ACG community. ACG members–all experienced mergers and acquisitions professionals–judge the competitions, which engage business school teams in business analysis, valuation and strategy development. The intense competitions provide feedback from real-world experts and link the next generation of top-tier business-school talent with potential M&A employers.

ACG National Capital Scholarship Fund
For the past six years, the ACG National Capital chapter has solicited candidates from area schools to receive this scholarship. Candidates are chosen through a rigorous selection process based on their academic, athletic, and/or student achievements. In addition to the student’s GPA, consideration is given to the nominee’s written statement for being selected, a faculty member’s recommendation, and community service. Each finalist is then interviewed extensively by members of the ACG National Capital Scholarship Committee.

This year's 2011 scholarship recipients are:
Kyle Hutton, Howard University, Class of 2012
Elizabeth Moran, University of Maryland, Class of 2013
Scott Shuffield, University of Maryland, Class of 2012
Ashley White, Howard University, Class of 2012

Money raised from our annual Golf Tournament directly supports our Scholarship Fund as well as generous donations from individuals.   Interested in learning more about the University Outreach committee?  Click the link, ACG rewards scholarship with scholarships or read more at  our ACGCapitalblog.com with the lastest scholarship updates.
