In 2010, President Barack Obama selected Mr. Allen to serve as the National Incident Commander for the unified response to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. This year will definitely be another sell out event. Our premier chapter event highlights our region's best at the 10th anniversary of the Corporate Growth Awards Gala. To celebrate  this year's anniversary,  it will be held at the Udvar Hazy Air and Space Museum on March 22, 2012  -  in the shadow of the Space Shuttle Enterprise before the arrival of Space
Shuttle Discovery on April 17th.

The black tie awards gala includes a networking reception followed by the awards ceremony and dinner for attendees. The nine category winners are selected for leading highly successful corporate growth strategies at our annual black tie gala event.

In the 2010-2011 academic year a record-setting 1,636 MBA students from 125 business schools participated in ACG Cup competitions. $213,850 in scholarships and awards were given to competition winners by 26 ACG chapters. Each case study provides students with a unique opportunity to present valuation, capital markets and M&A strategic advice to a panel of seasoned M&A professionals from within the ACG community.
