Dan Martin

Dan Martin joined Acrisure’s Mergers and Acquisitions Team in April 2016 and works to support the company’s inorganic growth strategy through accretive acquisitions of quality independent insurance agencies and individual production talent. Dan focuses on sourcing, vetting, and executing transactions with potential Agency Partners and has worked on over 200 completed partnerships since joining the team. Prior to joining Acrisure, Dan was a part of Macquarie Capital’s insurance coverage team in Chicago focused on mergers, acquisitions and capital raises for clients in the insurance carrier, distribution and services space. Dan holds a BBA in Finance and a BA in Sociology from the University of Notre Dame.

Jake Thompson

Executive Director of Strategy & Partnerships

Jake joined Baldwin Risk Partners in 2020 and currently serves as Executive Director of Partnerships & Strategy. Jake is responsible for Partnership execution and due diligence activities in collaboration with BRP’s respective Division and Business Function leadership teams. Prior to joining BRP, Jake spent 4 years at Carousel Capital, a middle market private equity firm based in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he focused on analyzing and executing new investment opportunities for the firm, along with monitoring portfolio company performance. Prior to his time at Carousel Capital, Jake spent 3 years as an analyst in the Middle Market Investing Banking division of Wells Fargo Securities.

Jake earned his BA degree in Spanish and Economics from Davidson College in Davidson, NC, and his MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. Jake resides in Charlotte with his wife, son and twin daughters.
